John Shearer has taken over at Hatfield Town Football Club after great successes with Welham Albion. John has provided this message on behalf of the club.
To be asked to take over at Hatfield was a shock and an absolute honour. I knew others had gone for the role but the committee obviously had other plans. I played at the club and took over as Reserve Manager after retiring from playing.
I'm looking to rebuild to club and to build new foundations, stronger roots leading into a successful 1st team with everyone involved to play a part and be rewarded for their efforts.
We will have our own style, our own ID we will be successful again "We are Hatfield"
